Light Tackle Inshore Fishing In Myrtle Beach is been really good the last few weeks. We have been catching good number of over the slot Red Drum aka Redfish out around the jetties on our five hour inshore charters. Most of the redfish have been in twenty-seven to thirty-six inches in size range with on the small size which is in out slots size to some been over fourth inch too. This make fun light tackle fishing for them. This fish is also based on the tide and weather we can get out in the ocean and catch them.
Four-hour Inshore fishing in the Intracoastal waterway and backwater creeks of Little Rive SC, Sunset Beach NC, and Ocean Isle Beach NC has been really good for Speckled Sea Trout, Flounder and Black Drum. The Speckled Sea Trout are mixed keeper and under size fish. We are fishing Live shrimp for them when we can go out and catch live shrimp to fish with. This is also based on the tides too. The Trout have been running from sixteen to twenty-two inches in size and makes for good fun light tackle fishing. This make good keeper size to eat. The smaller trout have been ten to twelve inches in size. The flounder have been mostly keeper size too with a few under size fish been caught. The black drum bite is good too and this make for a good eating fish too. All the Black Drum are in the slot size right now that we are catching.
Deep Sea Fishing In Myrtle Beach SC is very goods this time of year. Lots of fish to caught to out in the ocean from Nearshore to Gulf Stream fishing.
Nearshore fishing four hour charter, we have been catching good number of Spanish Mackerel and Sharks on this four-hour trip. This is all so a child friendly fishing charter too. We troll for the Spanish Mackerel using planers and clark spoons. They are in the thirteen to twenty-inch size range and we catch them in good numbers. This can make for a very busy fishing trip catching fish. They are also very good eating fish too.
Shark fishing take place just with a mile of the beach. Most of the time we try to find a shrimp to fish behind if they are around. As they dump their bycatch with make great chum for the sharks. If the shrimp are not around then we drift down the beach for them. We are catching Black Tip, Sand Bar, Spinner, Fin Tooth and Dog Sharks now. That range from 10 to 250 pounds. These make for a fun fight and are mostly catch and release only.
