North Myrtle Beach fishing report for a half day nearshore fishing is a 5 hour trip with a ride time of 30 min and 4 hours of fishing then 30 min ride in. This trip is nearshore out to 10 miles catching Spanish, Sharks and blue fish. This week the Spanish mackerel are still around and we are even starting to see king mackerel and blue runners on the beach. The fish are biting throughout the day and we still have plenty of days open in August for morning or afternoon trips. Spanish mackerel are really good to eat(especially in fish tacos!). The sharks we are catching this time of year on our half days include Atlantic Sharpnose, Blacknose, Blacknose, Hammerhead and Bonnethead. This trip is a great myrtle beach fishing charter for kids and family’s that have not been offshore or just wants to catch fish with a shorter ride time and not leave the site of land.
Our three quarter day trip is a 7 hour trip offshore ranging from 18 to 30 miles out. You will have a ride time of an hour to an hour and half with 5 hours of fishing and then the same ride home. This week the king mackerel have been biting steady with a bunch of keeper King Mackerel and some huge Spanish Mackerel. This trip is just out the range of land and the fish are bigger in size than nearshore. If you are looking for a for a longer fight and for sore forearms, this is the trip for you.
Gulfstream fishing is a 12 to 13 hour trip with an ride time of 3 hours to 3 and half which gives you 5 to 6 hours of trolling and then the same time riding back. This week we only had one trip to the blue water where we high speed trolled to the fishing grounds for wahoo, kings and mahi and we we’re even able to bottom fish for more food to take home.
