Yes we are still open for Inshore, Deep Sea Fishing Charters and Gulf Stream Fishing!
The Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing is still going good. We are catching a good number of Speckled Sea Trout, Red Drum “AKA Redfish” and Weakfish. This will only get better the colder it gets. The Speckled Sea Trout like the colder water and will be schooled up in good numbers.
This is a Light Tackle Fishing at it best with Penn reels and Rods!
We are catching a good number of Speckled Sea Trout in the backwater creeks on the raising and falling tides on DOA Shrimp and Gulp artificial baits with 1/8oz red jig heads. This sames to be the best way to get the bites. You will get a lot of bites witch will fill like thump these are the smaller under size trout and then you will get hard hit witch will be bigger keeper size trout. Live Shrimp when we can get them are also working good on catching keeper size trout too. We are fishing these under popping corks along the edge of marsh grass and oyster banks.
The Red Drum aka Redfish bite has been good on artificial baits as well as the live bait. Mud Minnow and Live Shrimp are working the best. We have been finding good numbers of redfish in the school in the backwater creeks as well as along dock.
On days we can get out to the ocean and fish we are catching Speckled Sea trout and Weakfish. We are finding these around the Jetties and Wrecks. Catching them on DOA Shrimp and Gulp Baits with 3/8oz jig heads in red. There have been days we have caught 30 weakfish in a five hours trip.
There are still a flounder around too. We are catching them on DOA Shrimp up by the marsh grass and oyster banks. Most have been in the three to four pound range.
The Bull Redfish have seem to moved on. We are catching a very few here and there now.
