The weather has been great for Charter Fishing In Myrtle Beach this week. It has been in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. This make good water temperature at 64 degrees for the redfish. Like the cooler water and this keep them schooled up and the action HOT!!!

The redfish bite has been very good the last few weeks with good numbers of redfish been caught and CPR “Catch, Photo, Released” due to being under over our slot limit. Both size redfish are fun to catch on Light Tackle and put a great fight. The action had been good on Live bait as well as artificial baits too. The bite has been really based on the tide again this week too.

If you are planning to do some Inshore Fishing in Myrtle Beach you need to have the time plan your trip around the tides to get in on the best bite. Captain Keith unlike other charter captain in the area only runs one charter day this time year so that he can put his customer on the best possible bite with the tides.  It is very rare this time of year that we can catch the tide where we can fish both morning and afternoon charters with the best tide to catch the best bite. Just aware of this when you are booking a fishing charter to make sure you are getting took fishing and not for a boat ride.

charter fishing in myrtle beach sc speckled sea troutSpeckled Sea Trout bite over the last few days has picked up a lot. Our trip on Saturday we caught eight trout with two very nice keepers. This should only get better this week as the weather seem to be staying more stable this week. We have been catching them on both live and artificial baits. This bite also has been driven by the tide too.

The Black Drum bite has been very good on the days the current has not been ripping.  When we have catch the current not ripping the black drum bite has been on fire with up to twenty fish being caught. Most are keeper size in the fifteen to seventeen-inch size range. This makes for a good eating fish. Fresh shrimp seem to be the key to catching them.

Flounder are starting to show up in the places we are catching redfish. Most are still under size at this time. We are still catching a few keeper here and there too. This will only get better as the weeks goes by. End of April and in to May is our best time of year to catch flounder as we catch good number of flounder.

Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Report

Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Report

myrtle beach inshore fishing charters redfish red drum

The Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing has been on fire the last week with a good bite of Redfish “aka Red Drum”, Black Drum, Speckled Sea Trout, and few Flounder coming out to play. The warm weather has the water temperature in the low 60’s and this has the fish feeding right now. Look like we will have warm weather this week too so the bite should continue on and get even better as the week goes on. We still have a few days open if you would like to get in on a good Redfish and Black Drum actions this week.myrtle beach inshore fishing charters redfish

On our Light Tackle Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Charters, we have been able to some good school of redfish on the right tides. We have been catching anywhere from twenty to thirty redfish in a few hours. The number we catch seem to be based on tides and the angler able to pick up on the bite and cast to them. This should continue on for a few more week as the water will warm up and they will no long be schooled up. Most of the redfish we have been catching are either under or over our slot limit. This are fun to catch and put a good fight, but we have to release them back to water to live another day. We CPR them “Catch, Photo, Release”.

The Black Drum are biting good too. We are find them mixed in the area the that we are catching the redfish in. Somedays have been better than other on the Black Drum. Where we have been catching ten to fifteen per trip with most of them being keepers. This bite also should only get better as the warm keeps getting warmer over the next few weeks.

myrtle beach inshore fishing charters speckled sea trout

Speckled Sea Trout bite has been good one day and the next not been able to find them around. The water is starting to get a little on warm side for them now. On the days, we have found them we have been catching good numbers of them. We have caught some in the four to six-pound range last week too.

Flounder are starting to show up too, with most being under size right now. Want be long before the keepers move in to shallow water and we start catching them.

Captain Keith likes fishing with Light Tackle for the redfish, Black Drum and Trout. He likes the Penn Battle II 2000 and 2500 on a Penn Battalion 7’ medium to light rod. with Spiderwire camo braid 10lbs with Berkley Pro Spec Fluorocarbon in 12lbs. This makes for an awesome light tackle set up for fishing in backwaters of North Carolina and South Carolina. And will give you a good fight to remember for a life time.

Myrtle Beach Fishing Charter Reviews

Great fall day Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing with great weather. I fish a lot of freshwater, but wanted to gain more inshore/saltwater experience. Captain Keith mixed it up with different spots, different lures, and different fish species, He even gave us a taste of “close to shore” offshore. Never stayed in one spot too long and was quick to find better fishing. I learned a lot on the full day Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Charter and the knowledge Capt Keith had to offer.

This is my fourth  Myrtle Beach fishing charter and by far my best experience. Capt Logan was right on time at the fueling area with a Kenner Bay Boat powered by large Mercury outboard. We headed to a marshy areas for shrimp and small mullet bait. Beautiful natural area to hangout for awhile. Capt Logan heard from a friend that trout were biting and off we went. Caught several trout, a 32″ Red Fish and snagged a shark that broke the 15 lb test line without much effort. Headed back to the inter-coastal water way and anchored off an old sea wall where we caught black drums as fast as we could cast our line. We finally said uncle after we had more fish than four people could eat. My impression was that Capt Logan’s experience was essential to us being in the right fishing spot at the right time. We had a great time

Half day Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Charter. Captain Keith is a reel pro! Worked the tides, knew the holes, the timing, etc. Caught fish till we were tired of reeling! Couple real nice black drum keepers. Great experience.

Inshore Fishing in Myrtle Beach SC in March.

Inshore Fishing in Myrtle Beach SC

Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing

March Inshore fishing in Myrtle Beach SC is fun for the whole family.  March is here and the winter has not been bad at all. The water temperature stayed in the mid 50’s this year where in the past years it was down to 48. This keep the redfish and trout biting good this winter. The water temperature is now in the upper 50’s in most area we fish and the backwater creeks are in the lower 60’s right now. This is making for some good Light Tackle Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing. We are catching good numbers of redfish, speckled sea trout and black drum now.

Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Redfish

The redfish aka “red drum” seem to be liking the warmer days, as this is gets the bait fish are moving around more. We are find that they still want to hit on Berkley Gulp shrimp and crabs on 1/16 and 1/8 oz red x eye Bluewater Candy Jigs. Chartreuse DOA C.A.L Curl Tail with the same jig heads are work just as good too on the warmer days. On the cooler days, the DOA Chartreuse 3” shrimp seems to be doing the trick. The low to rising tide seem to the best tide to fish now for the redfish around oyster beds, docks and shallow areas that have black mud bottoms. Most of the redfish are in the 14” to 20” size range now. Hoping as the water warms up more the bigger slot size fish will be around to play.

Myrtle Beach Fishing for Black Drum

Black drum seems to be hanging with the redfish right now. We are catching the on-Carolina rigs or red jig heads with fresh shrimp. When the water warm up they seem to move to the deeper hole and hang out. They seem to be biting best at hour before low and on the rising tide.

Myrtle Beach Speckled Trout Fishing

Speckled Sea Trout are liking the cooler days. We are catching them on DOA Chartreuse 3” shrimp, moving them very slow on the bottom. We are fishing the being of the falling tide when the water is just being to moving at the creek mouths and the along the oyster banks.

This makes for a awesome light tackle set up for fishing in backwaters of North Carolina and South Carolina.
