Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Report

myrtle beach inshore fishing charters redfish red drum

The Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing has been on fire the last week with a good bite of Redfish “aka Red Drum”, Black Drum, Speckled Sea Trout, and few Flounder coming out to play. The warm weather has the water temperature in the low 60’s and this has the fish feeding right now. Look like we will have warm weather this week too so the bite should continue on and get even better as the week goes on. We still have a few days open if you would like to get in on a good Redfish and Black Drum actions this week.myrtle beach inshore fishing charters redfish

On our Light Tackle Myrtle Beach Inshore Fishing Charters, we have been able to some good school of redfish on the right tides. We have been catching anywhere from twenty to thirty redfish in a few hours. The number we catch seem to be based on tides and the angler able to pick up on the bite and cast to them. This should continue on for a few more week as the water will warm up and they will no long be schooled up. Most of the redfish we have been catching are either under or over our slot limit. This are fun to catch and put a good fight, but we have to release them back to water to live another day. We CPR them “Catch, Photo, Release”.

The Black Drum are biting good too. We are find them mixed in the area the that we are catching the redfish in. Somedays have been better than other on the Black Drum. Where we have been catching ten to fifteen per trip with most of them being keepers. This bite also should only get better as the warm keeps getting warmer over the next few weeks.

Captain Keith likes fishing with Light Tackle for the redfish, Black Drum and Trout. He likes the Penn Battle II 2000 and 2500 on a Penn Battalion 7’ medium to light rod. with Spiderwire camo braid 10lbs with Berkley Pro Spec Fluorocarbon in 12lbs. This makes for an awesome light tackle set up for fishing in backwaters of North Carolina and South Carolina. And will give you a good fight to remember for a life time.
